ABS-CBN’s Before They Were Stars, We Rise Together launch podcasts

ABS-CBN brings us closer to Kapamilya artists with Before They Were Stars: The Podcast and We Rise Together Aftershow.

Before They Were Stars: The Podcast is a product of ABS-CBN’s Creative Programs Incorporated (CPI). It is produced by Jeepney TV, one of CPI’s television channels. Meanwhile, We Rise Together Aftershow is by ABS-CBN Films Productions Incorporated. Both podcasts are co-produced with Podcast Network Asia, the biggest podcast network in Southeast Asia.

“The stories of our stars before they made it big are also stories of hope, determination and faith. Jeepney TV intends to highlight these values and also to delight our audiences by evoking nostalgia in the fast-growing podcast platform,” said Jeepney TV Channel Head Cindy M. de Leon when asked why they decided to make a podcast for their show.

ABS-CBN Films Head of Digital Anne Biagan also shared why they made a podcast for their online show We Rise Together.

“We Rise Together wants to spread more of the good vibes and its message of positivity and hope to new audiences in audio platforms. The live show version has always been overflowing with fun, candid banter even after the camera stops rolling. So it is but a natural progression to continue the conversation into an Aftershow podcast where listeners can still get their dose of unfiltered talk,” said Biagan.

These 2 podcasts follow the launch of 5 ABS-CBN Entertainment shows with Podcast Network Asia namely Hotspot, Kapamilya Chat, Push Bets Live, Push Extra Scoop, and Push Most Wanted.

Before The Were Stars: The Podcast is a show by Jeepney TV that presents personal accounts of today’s biggest celebrities before they achieved fame. In each episode, the show features one celebrity who shares anecdotes of the highs and lows of being a rookie in the entertainment industry and how they persevered in their journey.

In their pilot episode, the show featured the country’s ultimate heartthrob, Piolo Pascual.

We Rise Together Aftershow

We Rise Together Aftershow is a podcast where Jhai Ho and Rise artists co-host reflect and share their takeaways from the guests and their stories from the preceding live episodes they aired.

In the first episode, they reflect on Maymay Entrata’s story on how she became an empowered woman as she is right now—from handling bashers to staying professional even when you’re not at your best self.
